British Association of Clinical Linguistics

BACL is the professional organisation for clinical linguists and phoneticians in the British Isles.  Its members are involved in teaching and research in clinical linguistics and phonetics and speech and language therapy. We are beginning to add member contact details and research interests to the website in order to facilitate communication between clinical linguists.

BACL aims to hold a biennial colloquium so that members can present recent research and discuss matters of teaching and learning in clinical contexts. 

BACL also represents members at a national level, through involvement with the REF and institutions such as the University Council of General and Applied Linguistics.
